Krista Nobilo, (a 'kiwi') has worked in the New Zealand Animal Health industry since 2003. Krista has a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing, working as a Veterinary Technician/Nurse in New Zealand and Lecturer/Course Coordinator for a Veterinary Nursing School. She served as a Territory Manager for Merial Animal Health in New Zealand from 2010-2014. She made a life changing move to Colorado in 2014 with her American husband Dr. Peter Maguire (Board Certified Specialist in Veterinary Neurology/Neurosurgery and avid fly fisherman). She became a certified Equine Massage Practitioner in 2016, gaining her qualification through RMSAAM (Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage), an approved and regulated higher education provider. She is a member of the IAAMB (International Association of Animal Massage & Bodywork), and Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals through which she is insured. In 2020 she became certified to practice in craniosacral therapy, and also offers cold laser therapy, equine LTS leg wrap therapy and kinesiology taping. Krista enjoys managing their 8-acre property in Grand Junction, Colorado. Her family includes an earless but fearless rescue horse called Pepe, and Sir Edward WS (‘Eddie’ the Hanoverian), rescue dogs Ella and Tui outstanding Border Collies, Odin the Dachshund, Halo the cat, and ‘The Girls’ our egg laying chickens.
Not only is Krista an equine health professional and enthusiast, she was also an accomplished Dressage Young Rider, selected to represent New Zealand and winning an International Young Rider Dressage Derby in 1997 (Perth, Australia). She was the Reichenback Challenge Dressage National Champion in 1998. More recently, World Western Dressage Overall Champion titles in 2018 and 2019, and Sir Edward WS was Training Level AA Champion at the 2022 Region 5 USDF/GAIG Championships, and Second Level AA Champion at 2023 RMDS Championships. She remains dedicated to the art and sport of Dressage competing as an Adult Amateur.
